Tries too hard to be flavorful, and misses the mark on how the experience should be. It’s strongly sweet and salty, but the caramel aspect feels underdeveloped and the chocolate and cookie notions are absent. The texture is far from milky, but more of a syrupy medium with odd-feeling physical properties.
Identifiable as chocolate milk but approaching the cusp of bland irrelevance. Same product (as far as I could tell in side-by-side tastings) as Spar ESL Kakaos Tej.

Thicker, sweeter, and decidedly less brutal than the ‘Light’ version. It’s deceptively creamy, and does not carry a vitamin-y taste or horrific aftertaste.
Worlds apart from the shelf-stable version— this one is very sweet and milky tasting; chocolate is wholly absent.
Strange flavor that most wouldn’t slap the ‘chocolate’ label onto. Decent texture and milky feel, but a sour flavor approaching that is more in the ‘rum’ direction than that of cocoa.
Super dark, very chalky, but also decently chocolaty. The flavor is much better than the texture— which is downright sludgy the closer you get to the bottom. The last few ‘sips’ will require mandibular employ.
Incredibly thin, and still maintains a decently authentic flavor despite the watery texture. Much better than the Immergut Kakao I sampled in Frankfurt that had slightly different make up and stats. It’s cheap, adequately chocolaty, and drinkable in a pinch (considering the low calorie content).
Unique drink— thick(ish) but very smooth, nicely light sweetness but more of a hazelnutty flavor than a chocolaty one. Reminds me a bit of a more sensible Zott Monte, but not in a bad way.
Extremely chalky, but better flavor than the other Matilde products. Still, the chalkiness dries out your mouth and leaves you in an uncomfortable state.
Extremely chalky, very mildly chocolaty, and relatively unsweet— I applaud the uniqueness in flavor and the aim towards ‘better for you’— but there is little reason to pursue this version for taste alone.
Super sweet, dark, thick, and a tad sour. The cocoa flavor has a bit of an immature (over-sweetened, candy-like) quality to it which makes it hard to take more than tiny sips. Strong flavor, but needs to be diluted so the sugar rush is less prominent.
Has a slightly sour/boozy note that, when paired with the candyish chocolate quality, does not do itself any favors. It’s also way too sweet, which (by the third sip) became its biggest drawback.
Unnatural bubbles on the top make for an ominous first impression. It’s more sweet than anything else— and there’s a creaminess present despite the texture feeling less ‘milky’ than you’d expect.
Strong overall flavor, and a lot of what I get is sweetness, which is not what you’d expect from a ’25% less sugar’ product. I suspect the monk fruit extract, which is 150-200x sweeter than sugar, is a bit overplayed here, upstaging the ‘double chocolate’ element.
Has that signature Nesquik flavor, which is easier to appreciate with less sweetness. The texture is chalky and grainy, expect lots of particulates to stick to the inside of the glass (though most will siphon it straight from the box). Not a bad lower-sugar option.
Aside from sweetness, the only other taste I’m getting is a mild wheaty flavor. It’s pretty smooth, but not a very chocolaty experience.
Fairly flavorless, with an aftertaste reminiscent of its container. Feels overly thick for just 1% milk fat. Chocolate is difficult to locate, overall it’s not an enjoyable experience.
Sweet and salty, but not much cream or chocolate flavor. Super smooth and drinkable, especially for fat-free, but it needs to amp up the cocoa to fare better in a taste comparison.
