Smooth milky texture and a slightly sour (not in a bad way) cocoa flavor that you will appreciate a little more with each sip. The chocolate component settles quickly, so remember to shake between applications.

Muller Frijj Chocolate Flavour Milkshake
Much more pleasant experience than the first time I tried this. The ‘new recipe’ claim is definitely vindicated here— it’s a much creamier, more truly chocolaty experience, and despite being very thick (pet peeve of mine), it was still enjoyable.
Cora Boisson au Lait Chocolat
Different only in appearance compared with the 1L plastic bottle version. It’s simple, but pleasant— with cocoa as the prevailing characteristic. There’s a nice simplicity to it.
Cora Halfvolle Chocomelk
Silky smooth and well rounded flavor though nothing stands out in particular. The chocolate flavor is more present up front, it washes away fairly quickly, but by then— you’re already well into the next sip.
Chocomel Vers
Fresh version of Chocomel definitely has a smoother, more milky feel than the standard UHT type, but it lacks some of the strength in flavor. It's not bland by any means, just slightly less punch than its shelf-stable sibling.
Jumbo Chocolade Melk Vol
Thicker but relatively full of flavor, which makes the viscosity compromise much less of an issue. Not too many other surprises, but it achieves what it sets out to do— provide a solid chocolate milk at a low, private-label price.
Lowicz Mleko Szkolne Czekoladowym
Noticeably less sweet, and feels a bit bland at first taste, but the creaminess hangs on and provides (at least the illusion of) lasting flavor.
Pilos Kakaos Ital
Flavorful and highly drinkable, this is an honorable all-purpose chocolate milk that is available at a very fair price. Perhaps a little darker colored, but not significantly different from Mizo Kakao (Low Fat).
Milky Way Chocolate Milk
Caramel-like, malty, sweet, flavorful. Carries a cooked milk flavor that is also a bit light on chocolate, though that may not be the main focus.
Naszalytej Fittej Kakao
Compositionally the same as Auchan Kakaos Ital, but seems to be missing a bit of the creamy taste. Everything else is present, and the drink is plenty competent.
Mars (Hungary)
Good combination of malt and caramel, just lacks the punch of its more-indulgent counterpart. That said, I’d be happy to pack away a handful of these for a hike or long bus ride. Plenty of uniquely ‘Mars-y’ flavor.
Mizo Kakao (Low Fat)
Solidly drinkable and competent, with a slight skew towards sweetness. Everything feels as it should, and one could put this in his/her shopping cart without fear of ridicule.
Billa Kakao
A bit gritty but still a milky feel-- the creaminess is executed well and doesn’t gum things up. The cocoa flavor is decidedly toward the earthy end of the spectrum, but the supporting cast compensates to make this an enjoyable and memorable drink.
Nom Kakao Milch Laktosefrei
Thicker and a bit creamier than the lactose-containing version, but still the pleasant cocoa flavor and balance that you would expect. Lactose intolerant folks have been well taken care of here.
Kohrener Landmolkerei Frische Kakaomilch
Nicely mature flavor, with prominent cocoa and a sourness that works well with the lower sweetness. Thin and a bit chalky, the texture doesn't detract from the experience.
Milbona Milch Drink Schoko
Good cocoa flavor, nicely thin viscosity and smooth texture with a creaminess still present. Slightly more sweet than chocolaty, but overall above average. No notable difference from ‘Milbona Milch Drink Lisas Schoko Mix.’
Gutes Land Milch Drink Schoko
Manages to deliver a deep chocolate flavor, perhaps slightly on the ‘powdery’ end of the spectrum, but all elements work together to deliver a solid chocolate milk experience that is well worth your pocket change.
Cow Cow Dark Real Chocolate Drink
Unbelievably strong cocoa taste, I feel like I got a buzz from the first sip! There’s such a strong component of raw cocoa here that the bitterness comes through as well. It’s not very sweet, and it is extremely thick— what a unique drink this is!
Milbona Choco Milk
I would describe it as creamy and nutty— pretty unique, especially for a boxed multi-pack drink. Plenty of flavor to go around, and the residue left in the mouth afterward isn't as bad as the term ‘residue’ suggests.
Byrne Dairy Lowfat Chocolate Milk
Not overly chocolaty but smooth, creamy, and malty for a lowfat chocolate milk. The salt is at least as prominent as the sweetness which maintains a drinkable balance that comes off as genuine.
