Leads with cocoa-- a strong, sourish / mature cocoa flavor seizes your tastebuds right away and takes you on a uniquely tasty journey that ends with a clean aftertaste, ultimately whetting your palate for another draw. Both under-sweet and under-salty, it's well balanced and affords the chocolate flavor the lion's share of the limelight. The only chocolate milk I've seen to date that has 'butter' as an ingredient-- I can't pick it out per-se, but bonus point for the novelty!
Tasty initial maltiness that is carried through to the end by its gorgeous creamline body-- this is uniquely delicious and indulgent despite an under-reliance on chocolatiness.
Beefy and full of cocoa flavor- this is a lot to take in at once, but I'm more than happy to oblige. The sweet/salty balance is appropriately tuned and does well to support the strong medium cocoa flavor that is the main feature and treated with the reverence it deserves.
Massive chocolate presence, resolutely on the dark/mature end of the spectrum-- and it hits you early and often (and even stays late!). Its thin body (like many raw milks) delivers the flavor rapidly and with uniformity-- and to an extent, feels overburdened with the task, as there is a noticeable cocoa grit that you will feel throughout. Super unique from both a flavor, texture, and even visual standpoint-- it's a fun one to try, and I recommend seeking it out if you're a fan of drinkable dark cocoa.
Fully burdened with cocoa and peanut buttery flavor-- and an amped-up, yet proportionally appropriate sweet-salty balance. It's mouth-watering and satisfying all at the same time, and feels like it would be right at home as a meal replacement (including dessert).
Delicious mix of chocolate and malt with a creamy body that is certainly up to the task of delivering and sustaining the flavors. I can't distinguish the flavor from the former (non-A2) chocolate milk-- it's equally indulgent and rewarding.
Noticeably more lithe than the chocolate milk, and delivers a truly accurate and not cartoonish cookies and cream flavor. It has me longing for bits of Oreo solute and the underratedly fun 'panning for gold' process of oral sieving (?). Definitely one of the best CnC versions I've reviewed, and a worthwhile extension of the River Bottom Dairy portfolio.
Same decadently sweet and chocolaty flavor that I've come to expect (and love) from Hart Dairy. Make no mistake about it-- it's…'full figured'-- and I will be too if I have this on a daily basis. If you're in the market for drinkable indulgence, this is recommended pursuit.
Delicious straightforward cocoa flavor with little distraction-- it drinks quickly and distributes naturally, with a somewhat fleeting aftertaste for creamline milk-- granted, the aftertaste that remains is a lightly dusty cocoa footprint that whets your appetite for more.
Delicious base that almost profiles like a non-homogenous one, but it delivers and maintains a medium-intensity cocoa flavor with competence and grace. Tiny bit of cocoa grit at the end of some sips, which I certainly don't mind-- just a tactile reminder of the otherwise smooth, creamy, and satisfying treat.
Confidently under-sweet, such that the slightly earthy cocoa flavor shines off the bat, and the warm, mildly salty cream rounds out each sip. A very novel flavor profile and drinking experience which is always appreciated!
Moderately chocolaty and lightly malty, it drinks quickly due the the thinness but leaves a delicious wild, creamy repose on your tastebuds for a long time after each sip. For me, I enjoy the aftertaste every bit even more than the upfront taste, which is on the mild side. This is the real deal-- raw milk as it comes out of the cow, so don't expect it to be like the mass-produced stuff you might find on supermarket shelves.
Intriguing combination of thick but smooth, with a strong cascade of malt flavor and a salty pinch that curbs any unwanted residuals. If you're looking to overdose on cocoa, this won't get the job done, but if you're looking to add an ice-cream-y bent to your potable portfolio, check this stuff out.
Wow-- the first sip will register like a construction boot to the skull, but once you settle in, you're in for a powerfully indulgent ride through chocolate peanut butter territory that you've likely not explored to this extent. In short, it's a haymaker of salty, peanutty punch wrapped up in a creamy chocolaty base that still drinks quickly-- it's a lot of flavor to handle at once. Make sure you're sitting down for this one.
Beautifully golden brown coloration and very well-balanced taste and texture across all receptors. There are no apparent spikes in flavor-- just a smooth, warmly creamy ride from top of the glass all the way to the bottom.
Beautiful creamline flavor and texture with a light to medium cocoa flavor and a modest vanilla-like finish, which is nicely unique. There's an elegance to the subtlety here that becomes more apparent with each sip. I finished the pint, and would happily go for another.
Bold and brave-- an unapologetically un-sweet chocolate milk that shines the spotlight on cocoa and buttery, grassy, salty cream (even at 2% reduced fat). The result is a shockingly focused treat that is adequately sweet in isolation, but is likely to be off-putting to the casual consumer seeking a quick, sweet fix. I'm seriously impressed.
Indulgently substantial and rewarding with a bright cocoa flavor upfront that is ushered gracefully all the way to (and through) the exit. Doesn't rely on sugary misdirection or other gimmickry; it's quite the pleasure to sip slowly while meandering down a country road.
Powerfully dense and flavorful, with a tidal wave of upfront sweetness followed by an extremely rewarding and rich chocolaty back end. Honestly, the latter third of the sip is the highlight, and worth weathering the initial sugary storm-- which, don't get me wrong, is indulgent and tasty, just stronger than you may expect from a chocolate milk. In short, it's super interesting, unique, and worth seeking out, particularly if you have a sweet tooth.
